Welcome to Lake Panorama.org

The FOURTH of JULY is the BIG holiday at Lake Panorama. If the weather cooperates, hundreds of guests will spend time with friends and families at the Lake and will enjoy an entire holiday weekend together.

Members, remind your guests that you are responsible for them and remind yourself to keep them informed of a few simple basics to keep them and everyone else safe this holiday weekend.
Boat operators should be knowledgeable of boating and of the lake. The FOURTH is no time to be a rookie boater. Personal Watercraft operators must be at least 16 years old and if under 18, must have a certificate on their person that shows they have passed the boater safety course. The LPA rule is more restrictive than the state rule regarding PWC operation--and with good reason, the Lake is long and narrow and subject to a number of unusual conditions, not the least of which is the counter-clockwise operation of water vessels on most of the lake. Guests should park on lots or drives. Any parking along roadways must be limited to one side of the road and may not occur overnight.

Use caution and be conservative using water. The Water supply is still somewhat limited until arrangements with Panora or other agencies is complete. Don't waste drinking water.

Boaters should remember that the narrows may be closed to skiing and tubing. Watch for buoy markers.

It's that time of year when long-delayed projects finally get going. Be sure to check with the office to determine if you need a permit or any other information before starting any building, fencing, shoreline, or landscaping project. Most permits (except for building) are free and the permit process is designed to help members follow the Association rules.

Eyes and Ears--If you see something that appears to be a violation of safety or of the rules of the LPA, please give security a call at 755-3101. It may be nothing, it may be important. Your observations (like writing down boat or car descriptions with license numbers if possible) make it possible to track down potential problems or solve old ones. It does help the Security department keep track of what is going on over 10 square miles of territory.

For a clarification about a recent local news article on water rates, check the news page.

Fire in the Sky, the fireworks display put on at Shady Beach by Joe Scheiring every year, will be held on July 4 this year.

The LPA offices will be open on Friday, July 3 and Monday, July 6 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. It is closed on the 4th.
