Boat motor specifications change
Due to industry-wide change in small block inboard engine design, the LPA Board has approved modifications to the specifications for boat motors. The new regulation states that engines with a maximum allowable displacement of 6.2 liters or 377 cubic inches will be allowed. The old specifications were 5.7 liters and 351 cu. in.
       

Dam Repair issues await Inspection
Decisions on the extent of work required to repair some problems between the emergency spillway and the main concrete spillway of the dam will await inspection by the State Department of Natural Resources. Ultimately, the DNR requirements are the ones that will have to be met and state personnel have agreed to take a look during a regular inspection this spring.

Security Fence now in Place on Marina Jetty
In response to vandalism and theft from boats on the marina jetty, the LPA has installed a security fence to limit access to the area. Lift spaces and docks will be accessible by walk-in through a locked gate. The jetty renters will receive keys for the gate as the covered slip renters receive.
       
       In addition, the old west covered slips will be replaced this year with a covered 40 slip unit with 10' wide spaces.
       

Watch for Vandalism
Members are our best preventative and response to vandalism. If you see anything suspicious, please report it to Lake Security as soon as possible. In particular, there has been some off road driving on the golf course that has caused damage to fairways and greens. Security can be reached at 755-3101

LPA committee will be recommending swimming pool regulations
The Building Codes Committee will be recommending rules regarding swimming pool construction at Lake Panorama. The Board will act on the rules in the next few months. There is now a temporary moratorium on all swimming pool additions.

Hunt Thins Deer Herd
The special deer hunt resulted in 54 does and two bucks removed from the Lake deer population.

Annual Meeting scheduled for May 13
The annual meeting of the Lake Panorama Association will be held Saturday May 13 at 10 a.m. at the LPN Conference Center
