GolfingBoating
Members at Lake Panorama get the privilege of boating on the lake. Due to the narrow nature of the lake, special lake rules are in effect. Watch for buoys marking the center line. Boats keep right and travel in a counter-clockwise direction in all but the main basin of the lake. Skis, ski boards, and tubes are often pulled around the lake. Personal watercraft are legal here and all boats must be operated according to the laws of Iowa and the special rules of the association.

There is one boat ramp located at the marina, just off highway 4. Boats may be launched there if they are properly registered in Iowa and have a current LPA sticker. Coulter's Panorama Marine offers a range of boating services, including boat storage and repair. Coulter's operates the marina and may have space available in the marina basin for your boat's storage. They may be contacted at 755-2920.

For a complete list of boating rules and regulations, see boating regulations.

Camping
Two campgrounds are available for members. For information see the facts page. The East campground offers electrical, sewer, and water hook-ups. The West campground is available for RV camping or tent camping and has some electrical hookups. For camping information - see Camping.

Golfing
Two golf courses are located in the Lake Panorama development. The LAKE PANORAMA NATIONAL course is privately operated, but open to the public. This eighteen-hole course has an excellent reputation as a top Iowa course. For information, contact the Lake Panorama National golf course at 755-2024 or 1-800-879-1917.

For a shorter challenge, the Lake Panorama Par 3 course is available to LPA members and guests. Contact the Par 3 at 755-2250 for more information. Membership information is found at Par 3.

Picnicking
Picnic shelters are available at all three LPA beach areas. Boulder Beach features a large and small shelter for groups and some shaded area for individual tables. Shady Beach has a large shaded area as well as a picnic shelter. Sunset Beach's shelter directly overlooks the swimming area.

The Par 3 Golfcourse Clubhouse is available for rental for groups of up to 50. A large deck overlooks the course and the nearby pond. The Clubhouse is air conditioned, carpeted , and has kitchen facilities.

For information on reserving the shelters-see reservations.

Fall ColorsSwimming
Swimming is permitted at all three beach areas within the roped areas. There are no lifeguards present and swimming should only be done when the basic rules are followed. The rules are posted at each swim area. There are restrooms with water and flush toilets adjacent to each beach area, although there are no specific changing facilities.

Swimming is also permitted by members in the immediate area of their lakefront homes within 100 feet of shore or within 10 feet of a boat. Swimming farther than 50 feet from shore is not recommended due to boat traffic. Swimming is not permitted in the marina or at any community areas.
