2011 Building Codes

The 2013 Edition of the LPA building codes has changed with the addition of shoreline sun shelters. These are not full structures, but sources of shade with soft or semi-open covers. The restrictions are numerous and must be fully met.

Here is a summary of typically significant code items:
1. Building permit fees for homes are now standardized at $400. (other fees apply)
2. All building permits not otherwise specified cost $35, except garages which are $100.
3. Restrictions on the amount a fence can enclose is 10% of the area of the developed lot(s).
4. Restrictions on the amount of property a swimming pool fence can enclose were eliminated.
